It is our desire to espouse the talent of these great artists in order to serve the works entrusted to us and restore them to the perfection of their original appearance.

This desire becomes an obligation once one is able to recognise the universal value of a work of art. This recognition carries great responsibilities in terms of the nature, the quality and the degree of restoration to be undertaken.

Our method finds its roots in the restauration treaty written by the great Cesare Brandi (1906-1988) - art historian and critic, founder and director for over twenty years of the Istituto Centrale del Restauro in Rome. Like him, we believe that "restauration should aim to re-establish the potential unity of a work of art on the condition that this is possible without creating a work that is fake, both artistically and historically speaking, and without erasing any trace left by the passage of time."

The notion of restauration is thus inseparable from that of conservation so that "the physical state and the double aesthetic and historic polarity" of a work can be transmitted to future generations.
